1963 Copper Engraving
Landeck had a vacation home on the
dunes at Wellfleet on Cape Cod, Mass.,
where he enjoyed fishing, especially
a technique called "surf casting".
This engraving is a rendition of
a bass that he had caught.
This piece is one of his few departures
from the straight-line engraving that
Landeck liked so well, composed of
gracefull curved lines.
